Debt Collection Services

We offer two primary approaches to debt recovery, applied depending on the age, amount, and nature of the claim.

Amicable (Pre-Judicial) Collection

The first step in any sound collection strategy. We approach debtors professionally and persistently to achieve voluntary payment without court involvement.

Formal demand letters compliant with German debt collection law
Multi-channel debtor contact (written, telephone)
Negotiation of payment plans where appropriate
Debtor address verification and skip tracing
Creditworthiness and asset assessment

Judicial & Enforcement Proceedings

When voluntary settlement is not achieved, we pursue the legally available enforcement routes to obtain and execute a title against the debtor.

Application for payment order (Mahnbescheid)
Enforcement title procurement (Vollstreckungsbescheid)
Wage and bank account garnishment proceedings
Asset disclosure (Vermögensauskunft) coordination
Coordination with licensed bailiffs (Gerichtsvollzieher)

B2B and B2C Recovery

Different debtor types require different approaches. We are experienced in both commercial and consumer receivables.

Business-to-Business (B2B)

Commercial debt recovery requires a different register than consumer collection. We understand business relationships and balance firm recovery with preservation of commercial ties where possible.

Commercial invoice disputes and payment delays
Late payment interest under §288 BGB
SME and enterprise client mandates
Construction, wholesale, and services sectors

Business-to-Consumer (B2C)

Consumer debt collection in Germany is governed by strict legal requirements. Our processes are designed to comply fully with consumer protection law and treat debtors with respect.

Full compliance with Verbraucherrechterichtlinie
Regulated fee schedules per RDGEG / BerHG
Telecommunications, utilities, and retail receivables
Healthcare and insurance co-payment recovery

The Collection Process, Step by Step

Every mandate follows a structured process designed for transparency, compliance, and maximum recovery.

01

Mandate Intake & Review

You submit your claim along with supporting documentation. Our team reviews the file, validates the claim, assesses the debtor's known profile, and determines the most appropriate recovery strategy. We confirm acceptance and outline the proposed approach.

02

Formal Demand & Debtor Engagement

We issue a formal payment demand to the debtor, identifying ourselves as the authorized collection agent. Contact is maintained via written correspondence and, where appropriate, telephone. We document all communication and attempt to reach a negotiated solution.

03

Payment Plan Negotiation (Where Applicable)

Where the debtor acknowledges the debt but lacks immediate funds, we may negotiate a structured repayment plan, subject to your approval. We monitor compliance and escalate if payments are missed.

04

Legal Escalation

If amicable resolution fails, we initiate judicial proceedings. This typically begins with a court-issued Mahnbescheid (payment order) and, if unopposed, proceeds to an enforceable title (Vollstreckungsbescheid). We coordinate with bailiffs for physical enforcement where required.

05

Recovery & Final Reporting

All recovered funds are remitted to you promptly. You receive a full written report on the case, including actions taken, costs incurred, and the final outcome. Dormant claims with no assets are flagged for future monitoring.
